Mosaic Monthly Meeting
Immigrants with high professional qualifications from their countries of origin are often challenged to find employment in their field of expertise, which can lead to unemployment or underemployment. Connecting this population with meaningful work would not only enhance economic mobility for their households, but also further promote a diverse and inclusive business climate and capitalize on the full potential of Tulsa’s economy.
At this month's Mosaic meeting, we'll explore the topic of immigrant talent with Flourish Tulsa, a workforce partnership under the city's New Tulsans initiative, and Upwardly Global, a California-based nonprofit that helps immigrant, refugee and asylee professionals rebuild their careers in the U.S.
Our meeting also coincides with Welcoming Week, a national celebration that brings together immigrants, refugees and long-time residents to build strong connections and affirm the importance of welcoming and inclusive places in achieving collective prosperity.
