"As one of the Chamber's most active and engaged past chairmen, Dr. Gerry Clancy is the epitome of leadership and we congratulate him on being named the next president of the University of Tulsa.
For more than a decade, Dr. Clancy has acted as a visionary for the Chamber and the Tulsa region as a whole through his many volunteer roles, and we're confident he'll continue that work as president of the University of Tulsa."
-Mike Neal, president and CEO, Tulsa Regional Chamber
Under his guidance as the 2011 Chair of the Tulsa Regional Chamber Board of Directors, and current member of the Tulsa Regional Chamber Board, our organization has welcomed tremendous success across a broad section of programs and services.
In addition to his roles leading educational institutions in the region, Dr. Clancy has crafted innovative programming toward improving our region's economy and quality of life through his work leading the Chamber's strategies toward dozens of programs and initiatives, including guiding our region's legislative advocacy on policy issues that promote a healthy and educated workforce. Throughout the past decade he was heavily engaged in the Tulsa's Future II and Tulsa's Future III strategic plan development; provided guidance and participated in the Tulsa Regional OneVoice Legislative program; guided the Chamber's political diplomacy efforts through the creation of the Chamber's TulsaBizPac and OklahomaBizPac political action committees; created and led the inaugural Intercity Visit program; and played a pivotal role as a member of the Chamber's leadership team and campaign steering committee member guiding strategies around the original Vision 2025 and subsequent Vision Tulsa campaigns.
