Chamber Internships

The Tulsa Regional Chamber offers a variety of unpaid internship opportunities for school credit. The Chamber accepts interns for the fall, spring and summer semesters. 


The Communications Department will house two interns simultaneous throughout the course of the year. The Events/Account Service intern will split his/her time between the Director of Events and Director of Accounts to assist on the planning and execution of Chamber related events and collateral. The Creative Services intern will assist the Director of Creative Services with various design projects and clerical functions.

Interns are to be scheduled in the following time blocks:
January –May
May- August
August- December

Events/Account Service Intern:
Junior or Senior in college pursing a degree in a relevant field
Minimum of three working days a week
Knowledge of AP Style

Creative Services Intern:
0-2 years of college level experience in graphic design
Working knowledge of design and/or photo editing software in the Adobe Creative Suite

Economic Development

The Chamber's economic development department is responsible for recruiting and retaining businesses to drive job creation, promoting entrepreneurship, providing economic data and generating capital investment in the region. 

Government Affairs

The government affairs division advocates for pro-business legislation to help regional companies grow and prosper. Government affairs works with regional partners and members to draft the OneVoice Legislative Agenda, holds legislative events and lobbies at the state and federal level. 

Tulsa's Young Professionals

TYPros is responsible for attracting and retaining young talent in the Tulsa region, and establishing Tulsa's next generation of business and community leaders.

Tulsa Sports Commission

The Tulsa Sports Commission is responsible for marketing Tulsa to sports organizations to attract high-quality events to the Tulsa region such as NCAA March Madness, BMX Grand Nationals, USA Gymnastics and more. TSC has several internship opportunities available throughout the year. All TSC interns MUST receive college or school credit for their hours worked. Full Time Internship
This is a 300+ hour internship, happening either in the Spring, Summer, or Fall. Students seeking this internship need to be available at least 3 days a week, for a minimum of 4 hours per day. The three time periods are January-May; May-August; August-December. This internship will offer opportunities in sports development, operations, marketing, and events. Based on the interests of the applicant, we can offer some customization of the experience. Interns will be expected to submit a summary of their experience at the end of the internship, with essay and photos.

Fall – application and resume due by June 1
Spring – application and resume due by October 1
Summer – application and resume due by February 15

Event-Based Internship
This is a 50-150 hour internship, based on specific major events within the Tulsa Sports Commission calendar. Times will vary depending on the internship.
Interns would need to work the full event, including time before and/or after the event takes place. Duties would include a variety of event related tasks – operations, logistics, volunteer management, marketing, etc. Interns will be expected to submit a summary of their experience at the end of the internship, with essay and photos. 

Application and resume will be due at least 2 months before any major event.
Please check the website for details on dates – this will change each year, depending on the major events we have scheduled. 

Mohawk Sports Complex Internship
This is a 300-400 hour internship, spanning a pre-determined length of time at the Mohawk Sports Complex. Students seeking this internship would need to be available to work weekends (Thursday to Monday) for a variety of field sports taking place at the complex. Time periods would be February-May; August-November. Duties would include mostly operations related tasks for events happening at MSC. Must be willing to work outside in various weather conditions and occasionally work up to 16 hours a day.

August-November – application and resume due by June 1
February-May – application and resume due by November 1
June or July – application and resume due by April 1


VisitTulsa is responsible for marketing Tulsa to visitors and meeting planners and bringing high-quality events and conventions to the Tulsa Region.
