The Tulsa Regional Chamber has announced three staffing changes within its economic development division. This division oversees the Chamber-led regional economic development partnership, Tulsa’s Future, which has generated more than 80,000 jobs and more than $6 billion in capital investment since 2005.
Angie Zaricor has been elevated to senior director of economic development, and Ama Abrokwah, Ph.D., to vice president of research. Lynette Isaac, in her new role, will serve as director of workforce and talent strategies.
“Angie has done an excellent job working with existing businesses, successfully creating a Technology Council, and establishing and strengthening the Chamber’s relationships with our regional partners,” Brien Thorstenberg, vice president of economic development, said of Zaricor, who previously served as director of economic development. “Angie has excelled in every role she has been in since joining us in 2007.”
Arthur Jackson, senior vice president of economic development, said his first directive when joining the Chamber three years ago was to hire a researcher. He chose Abrokwah as the organization’s director of research.
“Since joining our team in 2021, Ama has consistently gone above and beyond in providing critical reports for site visits, regional partners and our Tulsa’s Future.com website,” Jackson said. “Ama’s skills have helped raise Tulsa’s Future economic development to the highest level of success.”
Isaac joined the workforce team in 2022 as a project manager.
“Lynette’s unwavering commitment has added capacity to this work, and her tenacity to go above and beyond has been instrumental in our surpassing all our goals,” said Rue Ramsey, vice president of workforce and talent strategies. “Her dedication is a key component in our win of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) Bronze award for Tulsa’s NextGEN Talent and the added Talent Attraction component.”
