Education & Workforce
Attracting, retaining and cultivating talent
By 2025, more than 60 percent of American jobs are projected to require some type of degree, certificate or credentialed training beyond a high school diploma. The Chamber’s education & workforce division leads the development and implementation of a regional talent supply chain to ensure northeast Oklahoma keeps pace with this national trend and Tulsa-area businesses can hire the people they need to grow and prosper.
Following the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Talent Pipeline Management model, members of the education & workforce team coordinate with employers in key industry sectors, educational institutions, training providers, local civic groups and national nonprofits to build a comprehensive, employer-led workforce infrastructure. The division pursues three objectives in support of this supply chain: recruiting new talent, keeping existing talent here, and developing the right skills within the labor pool for in-demand occupations. By unifying the attraction, retention and cultivation of talent, the the education & workforce division promotes regional economic prosperity with an organized and managed system to deploy a high-quality workforce for critical jobs.
